Anambra Police Command's Recent Operations

 


The Anambra State Police Command has been actively engaged in various operations to maintain law and order in the state. Recent events highlight the command's efforts in tackling crime and ensuring public safety.



*Arrest of Suspect with Human Remains*


On July 6, 2025, a joint security team comprising police officers and Anambra Vigilante Operatives arrested a 25-year-old suspect, Samuel Eze, in possession of a woman's breast in Awada, Obosi. The remains were recovered and deposited at the morgue for preservation, while the suspect is undergoing police interrogation.



*Rescue of Kidnapped Driver and Recovery of Stolen Goods*


In a separate incident, police officers attached to the Rapid Response Squad rescued a kidnapped driver on July 4, 2025. The team also recovered a truck loaded with custard powder worth N9.5 million and arrested three suspects involved in the criminal act. The suspects confessed to diverting the goods to Enugwu Ukwu after abducting the driver.



*Recovery of Suspected Stolen Vehicle*


On July 5, 2025, police operatives from Obosi Division recovered a suspected stolen custom color Toyota Sienna with a registration number 736 JP and an inscription "Forum of Accountants Delta State" on the body. The command invites anyone looking for the vehicle to come forward with valid proof of ownership for verification and possible collection.
